Braxton hicks contractions. And I think they tell you not to have sex before that test.

It's a vaginal and rectum swab they require to make sure there isn't any bacteria there cause if there is it can cause serious illness to the baby when he/she comes but if u do have a bacteria they put u on antibiotics at the time of labor and delivery and it is usually done once your about 36 weeks not everyone gets the bacteria so once u get it done don't worry to much about it

ya it don't hurt you but you gotta tell them if you have it so they can give you the antibiotics
