So how do you go about with finding a pediatrician?? My OBGYN has a pediatrician there and I'm wondering if I should…

@ngujen, all I had to do was call the pediatrician and make sure they took my insurance and then the lady told me that when I have the baby the hospital will ask and I tell them who and then someone from the practice will come to the hospital do an initial check on the baby and set my first appointment. If you don't have one picked the hospital will help you do it before you can leave is what I understood

@iheartriley, no I didn't do a tour because I already knew what it looked like @queenmother so we just need to have one picked? like is there anything specific we need to do?

@ngujen, I was told I had to have a pediatrician picked before we can leave the hospital. Sometimes they come see the baby and check them out or they may just set your first appointment. My dr office actually gave me a list of pediatricians in the area but I already have mine picked

no, did you do your hospital tour yet or register at the hospital? you can ask for them to recommend you one

the hospital usually give you someone that accept your insurance..

look up in your area, look at the reviews and visit the Dr office.. the hospital recommend a Dr to see your baby in the hospital 9 years ago and I still go to the same one

my obgyn gave me like 5 diff Dr cards that took my sons insurance you can research diff drs in your area and read the diff reviews ask family or friends that have used that Dr or do meet and greets and get a feel for each Dr and see which you.like the best

you can do meet and greets with them and decide which one you like
