Breastfeeding hope for anyone!! Liam and I are doing well with feelings on our first day. The key is opening their mouth wide and if it feels like they aren't even sucking on you, you got it right! It shouldn't hurt and most of the areole needs to be in their mouth not just the tip or it hurts!

Anyway, newborns barley eat cause their tummys are small. I only nurse maybe 10 mins with both breasts and he's full. The liquids before your milk comes in is full of carbs!

Eventually they will eat more of course.

I thought I would share here on the main feed because I know how it is to feel lost and think they aren't even eating, when they are!

Ask the nurses questions!

Be patient.

Be loving.

Try different positions.

Your baby wants to eat from you.

It will work out.

I know this is only my first day but I wanted to encourage you all. #breastfeedinghope
