So my other half is self employed, we're sat having conversations about maternity/paternity etc. He's basically said that the day after I've had the baby he's gonna be back at work 'because someone's gotta earn the money'. Kind of feel like I'm going to be left to do this alone and it's pretty scary!
I'm sure he will want to be at home for a few days at least when he sees that all this is actually real. "Z" didn't get attached until he saw the scan and now we have 9 weeks ish left and he is really dedicated and looking after me. Just give it time babe xz
You're not being selfish babe. My partners self employed and he is working until I'm in labour but luckily for us he can work from home for a couple of days a week until I feel like I can cope. Don't worry too much! The moment he sees the little one you'll be hard pressed to get him back to work :p
I don't feel that you are being selfish. surely a week with you wouldn't hurt. its an important time for a new born he'll need to bond. when he gets in from work the baby might be asleep or in bed. he might change his mind once he's here x
Yes I'll get maternity pay and plan on staying at work as long as I can. I'm not expecting him to have 2-3 weeks off but I really feel that I'm going to need the help once our little one is here. He's just that work minded that the thought of losing a days wage to him is like we are going to have the house repossessed etc but that will never happen. Just makes me feel like I'm going to have to do it all on my own. He says he can bond with the baby when he gets in from work, which I know is true but I'll need him there. Am I being selfish? x
my fella is staying at work untill the day I go in to labour to get more time with us... and he even said if I have a c section he will stay at work while I'm in the hospital to have more time when I come out of hospital. x
do you get materiny pay?
and he should consider staying at work untill the day you have the baby and save till then. to have more till with you and baby.? x
need suggestions....
So at work we have a drink thief. Any time we put a drink in the fridge it disappears. I swear I know who it is. So far he's taken drinks from everyone that works in the office, we even put a sign to not take anything you didn't pay for and wrote our names on the drinks. The person I think is taking them works out of the office so we never get to see who is drinking them.
Rant
My SO has been rude a lot ever since I've gotten pregnant...he said he doesn't care about my pregnancy, he doesn't even take one day off from work just ONE to come to at least one ultra sound appointment. I mean he's always making sure I'm fed, he lets use the heating pad, and even apologized to saying he doesn't care. He can mess with me all day but when I want to join and play around he gives me an attitude. He just makes me feel like s*** at times. He's a great fiancé don't get me wro...
Judge me all you want BUT wtf is it about pregnancy that makes me so insanely flirtatious and turned on by women. Like..I don't care if my man ever touches me, I just want to be with a woman. 😅 He's always said it was okay, but..I've never found the write one to chill with. Small Towns suck..
Does anyone like their in laws?
With all the posts about terrible in laws I was just wondering if anyone actually likes their in laws?!?! I love me in laws. I'm blessed to have such a wonderful immediate and extended family. My mil loves spending time with my boys. She comes over at least once a week and will sleep over. She gets up with the boys in the morning and let's my husband and I sleep in. My fil is a great man also. He's always coming over to visit and do some odd jobs around the house...
Hope so hunni. J's been great so far but you know what he's like and what we've been through. I guess us just natural for me to doubt it xx
