so I'm 20 weeks and still mostly comfortable on my back... but I don't feel the baby move when I lay on my back, (stupid question?) is that bad? could it be related or am I fine? Dr said I could lay on my back until it was uncomfortable..

They say you're supposed to sleep on your left side cause sleeping on your right side and back can restrict blood and oxygen flow to baby.

I heard it wasn't good to lay on your back after you hit 20 weeks. but I've seen other moms post about how they still do.

my midwives said sleeping on your back is fine.. you can tell if there is too much pressure on that vein and not enough blood flow, you'll start going numb and getting light headed and feel weird. I can feel my son the most when I'm on my back.. plus the sleeping on my sides causes numbness or really bad hip pains. your child might just be really far forward and that's why you wouldn't really be able to feel them move that well.

I was sleeping on my back up until I got to the point of 27 weeks .. It depends on your body I guess, it's good to sleep on your left side because your baby gets nutrients from your body easier. I'm not sleeping on my back now, because I'm a bit scared to do so. I almost faded last week, but I was laying on the hardwood floor ( after yoga) not in my bed
