getting this tightening at the top of my abdomen, it hurts when it happens but it's not like period…

is it consistent? you should time it.

It's been happening for maybe a couple hours. they've gotten more consistent within the last few minutes. It just happened again and when I looked at the side of my tummy that he isn't on it looked kinda sucked in. and after it happens I get this feeling that feels kinda like when you're nauseas and your stomach is upset. and I've been having back pain all over all day today since I woke up at like 9:30, and I've been having pain up in my ribs. but nothing down low hurts or anything. @jomommaclark

Could be gas.

Braxton hicks! That's exactly how my labor started..they were consistent & all day long. Like 3-5 mins apart....then hours later the real contractions came!

yup I'm thinking braxton hicks. continue timing bc this could be the real deal.

@jomommaclark @theredheadchic I've been having small but painful Braxton hicks every night for like the past 3 days. What I'm experiencing now is like that but worse. I'm gonna start timing them when my fiance gets home to help me. If it does end up being the real thing when would I go in? I haven't lost my mucus plug and my water hasn't broken.

and I got checked 2 weeks ago and I wasn't thinned or dilated or anything

they have apps to time contractions

@jomommaclark, I don't really know how accurate they are but this is it so far

do it for at least an hour if it doesn't stop call the dr or L&D to get advice

@theredheadchic, it just stopped maybe 25 minutes ago. If it starts back again I'm gonna go to l&d no matter what is going on.

Yea, this is exactly how I started labor! Within about 7 hours, I had given birth! It's so crazy be I never expected it lol
