I have an question: do any of you lady's have god parents for your kids? I ask this because a lot of people don't know…

it doesn't have to be a sibling it doesn't even have to be a person you are blood kin to it can be who ever you trust

I have a God-Parent for my girls but I also have a legal guardian appointed. To me 'God-Parents' are there just for the fun. So my best friend is my kids God parent. But my aunt is their legal guardian so if anything happens to me they would go to live with my aunt and she would have custody of them.

My kids will be my brother and sister inlaw. they don't have kids and don't plan to. i know they would raise my kids right if ever put in that position. they don't come around often do I'm not sure how they could be good role models beforehand.

I do for the older kids but decided not to for this one.

My brother and cousin are my sons god parents, my god parents are my aunt and uncle ❤️

I have a godmother. but we don't keep in touch anymore.

my oldest got my sister and my aunt and my youngest got my sister and my cousin. I trust that if anything happens they will raise them right! and when I christened them I got certificates with the God parents signature

Yes ... I feel like there's better chances of a family member being more involved in a child's life ... I'm sure it doesn't always work out that way for what ever reasons .... but a friend can easily walk away as well.

I haven't decided on that yet, because I had a god mother and I haven't seen or heard from her in 15+ years. 😕 -- I do find it odd that everyone is assuming the role and I don't even talk to them. 😕

I chose my sister and her husband to be my baby's god parents . pick someone you can trust and that you know would do anything to take care of and protect your baby

Yes, my kids has the same two... My two best friends I've known over 10yrs ..... I no with out doubt if anything Happens to me they will take good care of my kids.

@momofroyalty, im having a hard time trusting people like the f something happen to me or my husband like who stable enough to car for the baby
