their making u fast? they didn't have me fast for mine...

Yeah. Ive seen alot of posts where they haven't had to fast. With my offices they do. With my other three pregnancies as well i've had to also.

humm...I bet if I fasted my results would of been different.

That's interesting about fasting. I will be taking mine in 2 weeks at 3:30pm. I asked my Dr about fasting & she said no, to have breakfast and lunch as usual. I'm worried I might eat something to skew the results. Good luck & hope you pass. :)

Don't worry. I had to fast too :/ but I failed my 1hour and had to do my 3hr 6 days later and had to fast again! Good luck mama!

Every doctor is different. Some have you fast and some don't. I didn't fast with both of my pregnancies and I passed both times.

With my daughter last time I failed and had to do the 3 hr as well. It was ok. I mean the stuff isnt as bad as it seems at all, just scrolling through preggie seeing all the food and drinks. 😁. Yeah I've see alot of people being diagnosed with GD but my question was did they fast cause I don't get how they expect the result to be good if they all you to eat anything before. @bradsmom711, yea. I don't really understand the concept. One of my friends said she had to go on a high carb diet and eat 3 whole potatoes the night before her 3hr test! Other people like my sister just had to stop eating 1hour before the test! I wasn't even allowed to drub water at any point during the 5 hours I was at the lab for testing. It was awesome. And the taste wasn't bad. I just got extremely dizzy. And nauseous. And every time I did a blood draw I would get the shakes after for a good 20 mins! :/

**just sharing my experience with GD so far** the lab technician when I had to take my 3 hr one said if I had fasted b4 my 1 hr one I would have passed. that you should fast a least 4 hrs before bc it does alter the results. that she didn't understand why ALL docs don't make patients fast. she also told me they didn't have me fast long enough for my 3 hr one. that it should be 10-12 hours of fasting b4. needless to say I failed my 3hr one too, but by like a few point on my 1 hr and 2 hr test. and since then, even eating what I want when I want, checking my blood sugar has been perfect! makes me so mad I've scheduled an appointment for a second opinion! @bradsmom711 but good luck on yours! fingers crossed you pass and don't have to deal with this 💩😒
