So my fiancee wants to just go to the courthouse to get married and skip all the chaos of a wedding. I'm totally on board with skipping the chaos but I know a lot of people are going to be mad/disappointed...decisions decisions...

Even if it sounds cheap, all mine and the hubs rings have been from amazon or walmart. We have each lost a couple down drains and playing basketball, and the price means nothing to me so it works out for us. @cloughgal

Sounds great we already put money down on rings 😊 love them so much . You can try Kay's, zales, overstock, walmart, even bjs I pretty much goggled wedding band sets and so much came up but we end up getting something from malson jewelers not sure if they have a website

So I guess our next step is to look at rings and apply for the marriage certificate...anyone know where a good place to find titanium ring sets?
Thanks everyone! We both are so settled in our relationship it just seems like a waste to go all out for a wedding that really would only be for the benefit of others. We have talked about doing a dinner reception for afterwards but again nothing extreme. We are already committed to each other so really it's just to celebrate a piece of paper acknowledging what we already feel.
We didn't care we invited the ones who mean the it's and went downtown
@cloughgal, i was going to do that too with my husband. but his family intervene amd had just imidiate family dinner only. but you can never pleas people anyways. dont let what people think stop what will make ypu happy and feel comfortable.
as long as you're happy with what decision yall want that's all that matters!!! are they paying for the wedding? are they paying your bills? are they doing anything to help you suceed? if not don't worry about them and what they want.
You can always get married at the court house and either have a small wedding later on or even a small reception so your family won't feel left out

i had a small wedding, not at a court house but with just family and close friends at a very small country church, in the grand scheme of things, your wedding is your wedding and i really dont even think about mine any at all. We celebrate our 3 yr anniversary the 30th of this month and a big chaotic wedding would have ruined my wedding day for me because I am a very laid back and antisocial type of person lol
Do whatever makes you both happy, it's not about everyone else, Could just do a small wedding nothing crazy and no chaos and keep it simple and have only your immediate family there
We are going to do the same and have a wedding later on down the line on a anniversary. Remember it's not about ppl it's about you guys and the love you share . Ppl are not paying for it you are lol
Do your wedding the way you guys want it. If they get mad tell them it was your wedding so you guys did it the you wanted, not how everyone else wanted
