Heart issues are no joke... Sometimes they can occur while pregnant because of the increased amount of blood going through your heart. Better to be safe than sorry but go get checked out ASAP

Maybe anxiety? I always think that I am about to get a heart attack because my heart beats fast I get bad chest pain and sometime my arm gets numb. When I end up in the ER they first do the EKG and it's always normal. O lie I have had like 20 or more EKGs and all normal. But I still get it and still so paranoid about it.

I didn't think anything of it because I've had this happen for a year or so, where my heart speeds up really fast for 10-15 seconds then slows really down then goes back go normal. but it's only happened a rare 2-3 times a day but today has been different. should I call the triage nurse or make an appt? the only thing I'm worried about is if they check my heart and it doesn't do the weird palpitations they say I'm fine when something may be wrong. @ftmbabyboy11 ft

Go to the ER on the EKG it'll come out and they'll do more testing. I hope you feel better.

@firsttimemommy89, if you don't believe it's anxiety and it's something you've had before but this time it's worse I'd call them and ask them what you should do, You're right it may not happen when you are there but they can still watch you and make sure your ok.

Have you ever noticed a correlation between taking your prenatal and having the palpitations? An additive in my prenatals used to make my heart race when I took them. But either way, you should go get checked out. An ekg doesn't need to run while you're experiencing symptoms... It can see irregularities after an event. So don't hesitate to go find out! At least do it to relieve your stress and worry!!
