how would one mentally and physically prepare for an "all natural delivery"?
yeah I don't want people telling me what to do when my body already knows. @azmommy85
It's a more comfortable atmosphere for sure and you don't have someone telling you not to do something. Our bodies are amazing and just know what to do naturally if you give it a chance. I prefer natural than getting an epidural but that's just me. I've had it both ways. @jomommaclark
I would rather do the laboring at home as well @azmommy85
To try and focus on something that will keep you relaxed yet your mind not all on the pain of the contractions. Also breathing techniques that will work for you. I also did squats as I was contracting. It helped me a lot. I had my 2nd child all natural and mostly labored at home. Didn't go to the hospital till I started bleeding and my body physically started to ok use my son out own it's own. I'm planning to the same with this pregnancy. I felt more comfortable laboring all at home and doing my own thing then being at the hospital. Then just get checked in pushed to L&D push 2-3 times and have the baby come out
I'm on the fence. I'm never going to say I'm am or am not going to do anything lol.
But I say if you put your mind to it and focus on something else besides the pain you can do it
I always wanted to but after I got pregnant I changed my mind. So I did it and I'm very proud of myself too plus you don't have to worry about back pain from the epidural
I definitely want to try to do it natural. @mrsstewart
Just breathe and try to stay calm (much easier said then done). I had my baby all natural no pain med or anything, wasn't the plan I was going to get it but I went from 4 to 10 in about 30 min so I didn't have time. But for me contractions were the worst part and laying on my side made it a little better. But pushing to me was the best part because the contractions didn't hurt anymore
they turned mine off when I was trying to push bc I couldn't feel how hard I was pushing.
yeah mine wore off and the put a monster on the baby's head which made my contractions stronger I remember screaming.
My friend got pitocin ands no epidural she about died of pain. she too hardly had any breaks inbetween. she told me to go for the epidural. @ashley530
u are way stronger then me my epidural went out and they had me on pitocin and had my contractions not even a min apart, I didn't even have time to breath between them but the amazing thing is once u deliver all that pain goes away. I honestly dnt remember the pain. But u can do it. :)
@chocohunnybees, @edomke @mommyslittleman
I had twins 10yrs ago I got an epidural ands pitocin. never even felt a full on contraction.
You can do a lot of things to prepare, but Idk if anyone can ever be ready. I wanted one but I labored for 36 hours and I got an epidural for the sake of sleeping. by the time I gave birth it had worn off, but I was so upset because my sister had an epidural and everyone was talking about how she wussed out and I got depressed because I thought I was weak.
as long as you do your best to have the birth you want, don't worry if things go awry! you'll be great and trust your instincts!
Um I don't really think there is a good way for pain wise. I didn't do a class and went natural and was ok. I think it's more having a strong support system!
Are you being induced??
