questions for mommies with more than one?
with my first, I had extreme morning sickness, where I couldn't eat, drink, or even get out of bed I was so bad. I had 13 iv bags of fluid just to keep us hydrated enough to be healthy
a year and a half after my beautiful boy was born, I feel ready for another one. Daddy isn't sure because he doesn't know how Cal is going to get the care he needs if I'm too sick to function again.
How have other mommies with this issue delt with this ? I'm so ready to try for a baby girl, but I don't want to leave my boy neglected because of being sick.

Girl I waited 10 years due to terrible pregnancy symptoms w my first and let me tell you that I am worst w this one. 😩😩😩

@jomommaclark, i tried everything from herbal remedies to the strongest anti nausea the doctor would give me. my problem was my body recognized my baby as an intruder due to a huge difference in blood type and was trying to fight him off . nothing helped. Zofran and the prozec? pregnazone? can't remember what it's called made everything worse.
@faithfulness88 are you still able to care for your first?

To be perfectly honest, my two kids (ages 2.5 and 5.5) were mostly raising themselves for a couple months at the beginning of this pregnancy. Lots of quick meals and cartoons and coloring books. That's the reality of having a pregnant mama. I just look at it like it's only for a short time, and completing my family was more important than being supermom for a few months.

Honestly my son has to be taken care my my in laws because I couldn't do much for him until now. I am 22 weeks and still trying to pull through. I take Diclegis. It helps but if I stop taking it I go back to rock bottom. I feel better but still not 100% so I will for sure never do this again. @chocohunnybees

@annlou, so you're still able to do basic care? I'm worried I'm not going to have the energy to even do the most basic of things /:

@faithfulness88, thank you for telling me your story! I do have a good in law support system and my fiance is very helpful when I truly need it. but they all work so there is always about 4 or 5 hours I won't have help and that scares me :(

@chocohunnybees, It wasn't fun, but yes, they did eat and get bathed. I have a great husband who would occasionally help around the house or brush their teeth or whatever. And every other week or so, my mom would take them for the day. So I was lucky to have good help, but even on terrible days, their basic needs were met. Also, I know you said you tried everything, but what finally helped me a ton was taking unisom and b6 every night.

No problem. It's hard but it's not impossible. I just personally wouldn't be able to do it w a smaller child. And girl let me tell you this is my last one lol I am traumatized. @chocohunnybees

@annlou, ive never heard of unisom. maybe this next time around I'll try that! I want a little girl pretty bad, I know the chances are pretty iffy, but I honestly know my son need a a sibling, someone to look out for and play with. he doesn't see other babies much, but when he went to visit his cousins, he loved having someone else to eat and play with. I truly want that for him. and a newborn is just wonderful to have around for myself (;
