So is breastfeeding/pumping as painful as everyone makes it seem? I have really sensitive nipples. 😭
the first week or so is pretty rough. but just keep in mind it's all for your baby, and hey its a lot cheaper than formula. lol
It'll fit a certain way when u pump ur breast in the pump, like the nipple is suppose to be so far in ....its hard to explain but the paper that comes w ur pump will show u
@theredheadchic, how do I know if it's the right size or not??
Yes you'll be fine. U just have to make sure u have the right size for ur breast & trust me, once ur breast fill up ur gna b running to that pump to get relief!
Lanolin and/or coconut oil will help at first. but like @junesmommy15 said, shouldn't hurt when done correctly
It can be at first. But then you can will get use to it. Keep some boob cream to help keep your nips soft and not chapped.
@theredheadchic, I hope I have the same experience! I don't want to not breastfeed because it's too painful :( @forever_hungry I bought some nipple cream too! lol
Nope. My nipples r really sensitive & I hate them to even be touched but I have no problem pumping or nursing. I was really nervous about it before birth
i used the medela lanolin cream they gave me at thr hospital it worked wonders.... i mean after dealing with the engorged boobs. but id wipe off before baby got on. thats judt me tho
@cray.xo, lol true! just hoping I can keep up the supply
