I think I posted something similar earlier, but I am wondering how many moms didn't drop before you were induced? My doctor wasn't concerned at all and said he's fairly close but to keep drinking lots of water, walk a lot, and use my exercise ball. I'm also a little over a cm dilated and 35% effaced. He said to have lots of intercourse before my induction to help my cervix soften some more. He never even mentioned a c-section but did say labor could take a very long time. Help!

And were you able to deliver him vaginally still with no complications? I'm seriously terrified of getting a c-section because I've never had any sort of major surgery before! @mrs.blackmon

When I went into the hospital I was 40w5days barley a fingertip dilated and not really thinned out. After being in labor for 4 hours with contractions that were too close together they broke my water because I still wasn't dilating. 10 hours later I was at a 4 but they didn't want to wait any longer without much fluid. So I had a c section...it was terrifying. I felt like I had fail because my body just wasn't going to let it happen. but in my situation it was best for both of us. I had never had major surgery either.
