is an IUD less effective if it moves?

It's not rare for the IUD to move. It's not a good thing neither, call your doctor and get an appointment I had it happen to a friend that was living with me. Good luck.

I don't breast feed but other than it moving apparently it works wonders. and I've never heard of it moving before it happened to me so I don't think it's common

Oh, we'll see if your period comes then take a test. Try not to stress about it. You have options if you are pregnant and then if your not pregnant then change birth control methods as soon as possible. Oh and I know it may be hard but try not to have sex again until after you find out if your pregnant. I wish you luck Hun! I was thinking about getting the none hormonal iud after my daughter is born but now I am not sure.

Have you had sex? Is there a chance you could be pregnant? You may want to take a test and call your doctor for sure!

I am pretty sure it is. Call your doctor before you have sex again. Or as soon as possible.
