I'm wanting to breastfeed my daughter, but I don't want my milk to dry up, what can I do to keep my supply up or do right now before I have her, my colostrum has already come in......
There is nothing you can do now. When you have her just nurse on demand, whenever she is hungry and for as long as she wants and your supply should stay up. You can also make lactation cookies but that's for after your milk comes in. Don't start pumping too soon either, wait until your supply regulates itself which is around 1 month. I successfully nursed my daughter for 15 months. After the first month of learning it was pretty easy for me.
I would wait to take anything until you have your baby. but you can use mothers milk tea (you can get it fm stater bros) or eat alot of oatmeal. it helps you produce more and make sure to drink alot of water
you can start pumping now. staying hydrated, eating well. drinking your prenatals or other vitamins, drinking mothers milk tea and good rest doesn't hurt lol
