I am in love with feeling my baby boy move. He's so tiny in there but I can feel him. For so long I felt like this tiny growing sneaky stranger had taken over my body. In the last two weeks that stranger has become a little boy who loves when I eat yogurt and daddy's voice; he has a name, clothes, a personality, and already occupies places in my home and all of the spaces in my heart. Love him!!

Just this week or last. He's measuring big so they think I might be farther along than I am. I was in shower and felt this small cantaloupe squirmy mass right under belly button. I gently cupped it and there he was! Now I can feel it almost instantly now that I'm aware. The other day it was like a light tug followed by butterfly feeling. Lay down, put feel up and I think you might discover it. Enjoy...

Because he himself comes from a family that is multi racial and because he has already experienced racism. I also believe as his mother it’s my job to teach him color and the cold hard truth about society. He knows what’s going on in this world. I’d be hurting him if I allowed him to blindly walk outside without this information. Children of color are being targeted and killed too. It’s not just adults. I let my son know we treat everyone equally and with respect. I let him know that we love everyone for their differences. In every aspect. Color, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual preference we love everyone.
