My nipples have been leaking colostrum for several weeks now but it's officially flowing freely now. I can even force it if I want to lol
Your body will only produce colostrum until after you deliver the placenta , only after than does your body produce a hormone to start milk production :)
@princessveronica, Lol. maybe look up your local Le Leche League if you can't find/get an answer.
@_akgirl, lol I know nobody seems to know I'll have to ask my midwifes. I haven't started producing anything yet, but I see a lot of women on here starting to produce milk before they give birth and it makes me wonder ha.
@princessveronica, that is a very good question. one I don't know the answer to, unfortunately.
so if you start making milk before the baby is born will it go back to colostrum when you give birth? or is the milk just as good as the colostrum? @_akgirl @nicole_jude @forever_hungry
well since u cant really pump i heard of this thing you put in your bra called milk savers, might wanna try it
yeah its colostrum . but its still really good for baby. that is my question though because i was still producing milk lol and now its like a mix but i think its just colostrum .
