so earlier I went to the doctors to cancel my appointment with the midwife to move it to next week. wasn't able to get an appointment for next week as the only slot was in the morning and my boyfriend can't make it for then, but had cancelled the appointment for tomorrow. my mum is trying to see if the midwife can slot us in for next Tuesday but my boyfriend thinks we still have an appointment for tomorrow but we don't as I cancelled it coz my mum said that my midwife said she wont see us tomorrow but will see us next week as normal. my boyfriend doesn't no and if we can't get an appointment for next week how am I gonna tell him I cancelled the appointment for tomorrow, he's gonna get annoyed..... don't no what to do as I don't need the stress right now

I'm just getting so stressed out because I'm having to deal with my midwife not being there appointments she has personally said she will definately be turning up to, then on top of that I've got my boyfriend moaning about it and also having to make appointments around whether he is also able to attend other wise he feels left out and then that causes more problems. I'm stuck in a never ending loop @123tommyanddorismew

does he understand that most midwife apts are now done untill birth and its mainly bp and urine?... this midwife seems very unprofessional.
in my area theres a birthing centre so you can kind of just see an available midwife..can you ring the midwifery team and explain your concerns and have apts sorted untill birth?

Also the midwife prefers you to occasionally turn up without your partner. If you have your partner with you at EVERY appointment they will try to find a reason to get you alone to ask you about domestic abuse

every appointment ive had with both my kids my partner only came to the 16 week one to hear heart beat for first time he didn't bother on the others cuz there's no point :/. after 16 weeks its just checking your wee measurements etc. x
