Did or does anyone have a newborn (under a month old) who doesn't sleep at night? The second I put him in his crib he freaks out 😢
My son did that. He's 2 months now and still sometimes does. They just don't want to be too far from you. I have my son sleep half the night in his swing and the other half in bed by me
I don't know about this..(haven't researched it), but a friend puts a heating pad in the crib and removes it before baby goes in. This makes it nice and warm. It is less shocking to go from your warm body to a cold bed.
ohhhh try taking a glove and putting rice in it and seeing the end. then pop it in the microwave just to get it warm idk how long so you can put it next to or on him! with Sadie I always put my hand on her belly so I'd put it on her belly
Yes I put him in when he falls asleep but most the time he wakes up if it's the night @squeakpipsmommy0607
@queendavis, yeah man it's hard times right now!
@nessa48, I'll try wrapping him in my shirt!
ans when he falls asleep put him in the mini crib because alot of the time the picking them up and putting them down wakes them up
@squeakpipsmommy0607, he's got two night lights and his mini crib is next to our bed
@queenof2, it's possible Ezra does too. He's so fussy after he eats!
@queendavis, girl thanks for the pic of that! Angel was on Amazon looking!
yes my 7 week old would fall asleep in my arm. I would wait like 15 min and put her in the crib. She would wake up screaming until I picked her up again. In my baby's case she couldn't lay flat down because she had acid reflux, gas & I wasn't burping her enough
could you lay in the crib for a few min and sneak out maybe. that's what I plan on trying with Sadie when we move to a crib
That sucks girl. Not sure why they sleep crazy like this! Do you have a noise machine?!? GET ONE! Huck still sleeps with his rain sounds playing every night to this day, it helps him sleep and we've been using it since day 1. And yeah girl the first three months of their life is known as the "fourth trimester" they still need to feel very very close to us and are still adapting to this world, they have no idea what's going on and they need us. It's SO hard, I know. But you got this! 🙏🏼 hoping baby Ezra sleeps soon and you get a break. 💓💓
this is what worked for me. He's been sleeping in crib since 3 weeks old tho im same room. but sleeping thru the night didn't happen till 3 months (it was his mothers day gift lol) but at 2months he started sleeping longer like 3-4 hour stretches that I can recall were heaven sent after eating every 2 hours. but anyways...I made sure he knew day was day night, night, keep day lighted n night dark for him. we use lullabys & let him self soothe...he started falling asleep on his own. n now he sleeps thru ohh n swaddling helps them feel secure but my baby never liked it...ever
@tracynangel, i know trust me, but make time to sleep when he does during the day, thats what i do. or have someone go over ur house n watch him so u can catch up on sleep. but i have his crib in my room, i swaddle him with a shirt that smells like me n put relaxing music so he can fall asleep. i barely started the music n it seems to start working
crying it out at that age is way to young I still really don't let nylah cry it it. what I had to do with nylah when I was trying to get her used to her crib was put a small almost flat pillow under her mattress so it was slightly reclined... she hated laying flat. I swaddled her and rolled up two receiving blankets and put them on both sides of her so she wouldn't roll around everywhere. then I put a blanket over the swaddle... they can't really grab it so I thought it was safe :) it takes a while for them to get used to being in the crib but don't worry it will get better. yes like @squeakpipsmommy0607 said maybe a night light will help. when my daughter was in our room we had the TV on alot so the room was kinda bright. now in her own room I got a nightlight.
Yeah nooo he's too young for that try keeping a night light in the room.. or have one of you sleep in the room with him that's what keelan and I did
@queendavis, he spits it out angrily when he realizes he's in his crib but what @squeakpipsmommy0607 says makes sense! They like to feel the warmth of our bodies. But then why does he sleep during the day in his own???
@squeakpipsmommy0607, hubby thinks letting him cry it out will be fine but I'm like uhhhh he's only three weeks old!
@nessa48, I sleep an hour a day! In the daytime I have so much to do!
Have you tried letting him sleep in his swing? (As long as it reclines, it's safe) it's so hard when they're like under 3 months girl 😕 Huck literally slept on my chest for so many nights before he would sleep on his own. Maybe try a pacifier though?
they don't like to be alone remember they've been inside your tummy for 9 months
Jaden did that it takes a while Jaden started sleeping through the night at 1 month
Glad to know I'm not alone! It's so frustrating cuz hubby and I don't get to be alone. He won't sleep anywhere at night alone not even the swing! @chelsea0820
