had a question: does having a contraction feel like a really bad menstral cramp? I've been getting these intense pressure abdominal cramps for the last day they will last 1-3 minutes and feel like a cramp but it goes away and I won't get another one till later in the day. i have a high tolerance for pain so to me it just feels like a really intense pressure that stops me in my tracks for a few

sometimes your water doesn't break on its own my sister in law had contractions mins apart for 2 days and just was not dilating they had to break her water cause even with them being so close and the pitocin she wouldn't dilate it wasn't until they popped her water that she finally dilated
mine feel the same way like they got fractured and never put back in. my hubby is going nuts he wants me to text him every hour that way he knows I'm fine. I mean they hurt don't get me wrong but with my tolerance to pain it just feels like another one of my menstrual cramps gone rouge. and I understand I wouldn't wanna get sent home either I'd just deal with it till you know for sure they wouldn't send ya home Lol and your welcome @mommytomaximus
It feels like my hips are fractured or popped outta place 😭😭 my mom wants me to go get checked because of the back pains but I don't want too cause i already got sent home twice.. 😞😒 and thank you love ❤️
I haven't had my bloody show yet either just the frontal abdominal pains. I heard back contractions are harder than regular contractions. I don't know whether to go in or not either not much they can do when your water hasn't broke right. my pelvis feels so tender when I walk feels like no matter what I do it hurts Lol I know my little girl is head down but I don't know if I'm dialated or not. might Start walking too hopefully for you it helps I wish you the best of luck too. hope everything goes smoothly. @mommytomaximus
Hmm, well momma, your baby just wants to meet you ASAP lol and I haven't had a bloody show yet.. Just the pains. And all the pain I really get is all in my back, so I'm having back labor pains.. That's what is confusing me with these contractions. 😖 so idk when I should go in. All I know is that I am 1 cm dilated got checked on Sunday and Monday. So hopefully all the walking and stuff I been doing since made me go up but I wish you the best of luck mommy!!!! 🙏🏼☺️
good to know they are contractions my little one is dating at 37 weeks but I'm dating 35 weeks. It just felt funny like my stomach was experiencing this huge cramp that wouldn't go away no matter what I did. I later down, walked around, sat still and it wouldn't go away. my water hasn't broke yet but I've been getting this weird yellowish gel discharge I thought nothing of it cause I wasn't bleeding ya know @mommytomaximus
I called my doctor cause I was having the same thing and she said they are contractions. And to time them. So I did. Lately my stomach has been doing it, but I don't wanna go to L&D just yet. I wanna wait till my water breaks or something.
yeah gets hard as a rock and stays that way for a few minutes then goes back to normal just to do it again 2 hrs later @mommytomaximus

Is it possible to have two different types of contractions? I had what I'm pretty sure were three really intense contractions at the top of my stomach yesterday, but today I've been getting really really intense period like cramps at the bottom of my stomach that last for about 40 seconds to a minute and they are super irregular so I haven't been timing them yet. I've also been having Braxton Hicks inbetween them as well. I hate not knowing what to look for or what they feel like 😩
I had a uncomfertable cramping going on at 12:37 now I just got it again at 12:43 can Braxton hicks do,that ? for,the last few days I've been feeling a lot of these and they seem to get worse .
so far I have only had them one day and today it's like my pelvis hurts but it's nothing major. my sister said to keep an eye on it I eventually might have to call my doc cause I'm really close to my due date
