Thank you everyone. What she doesn't understand is my son was diagnosed with leukemia in May right after we found out we were pregnant and neither of us are working we had to take a leave to take our son to treatment which is an hour away each way from our house. So we are struggling as it is. Just don't need the extra stress I was planning close family and friends maybe 20 ppl nothing big at all. An I was going to do it all myself

I had a Bachelorette party and then got married then had a baby shower all in the same year but I graduated in that year as well and my mom said it would embarrass her to ask people to come to another party. I feel your pain, two years later I'm pregnant with my third and I know for sure I'm not getting a baby shower even if it's a girl :( you should go ahead and just do it!

That's pretty ridiculous .. For one that was a long time ago and two it's a different sex?! Like that's really stupid. You deserve it. I would unsertsand if you had a baby like last year or something but you deserve it!

I had one 7 yrs ago with my son and my mom threw me another because I'm having a girl. If you want one go for it. There's nothing wrong with having another.
