my midwife couldn't do my sweep because I mentioned I felt reduced movement this morning. went to hospital for Monitoring. baby movement improved and is okay. a midwife tried the sweep there but couldn't reach it ( and i was in discomfort) got another onSaturday and Monday and booked in to be induced Thursday.

Fingers crossed baby makes a apperance before i was due same date as you but had him on the 1st had to be induced,its not as bad as people think it is @pj xx

Finally, after nearly FORTY-TWO weeks... I decided to get induced. Baby Violet scared me with some decreased fetal movement and I couldn't wait any longer.

I had a membrane sweep today. Before the sweep I was 3-4 dilated & 75% effaced.
Just had my midwife appointment, I'm measuring 4 wks ahead 😱😱😱.....booked in for a stretch and sweep on Friday.
so i got a membrane sweep today, & my midwife told me my cervix is “finger tip” meaning it’s too far up & not really down or soft enough & my due date is friday. any suggestions on how i can bring it lower?
Can anyone give me an idea of how a sweep feels? 🙈 and how many of you has actually had a succesful sweep coz i havent herd of it working for alot of people..... i never ended up getting one last time as I went into labour myself on due date so not sure if I want one or not. it's my due date tomoz and got a midwife appointment and she has planned a sweep, but can't make up my mind if I want to go for it or leave it a few days to see if I go myself again.
Thankyou i had to be induced due to developing obstetrics cholestasis,it was okay i got induced at 12 in afternoon but pains started after 9 im evening but i chose not to have a sweep which might have helped me,but in end had to have an emergancy c section @pj cuz he decided he didnt want to come down.x
