How many times a day do you breast feeding mommy pump? Not sure how many time I should,Mind you my baby is a week old.

I started pumping when my baby was 3weeks old I would latch her all day and then after her first morning feed I pumped each boob and froze the milk, if she is not latching properly you wanna pump as much as she would eat right now which is every hour on the hour to keep up your milk supply and take a supplement to help I took fenugreek

ummmm well for every hour a beast fed baby only needs about 1 Oz to 1.5 ozs. I would pump roughly as often as baby likes to eat. like Sadie liked to eat about every 2 hours but at night sleeps for about 8 to 9 hours. have you tried contacting a lactation consultant they are amazing with helping with latching. if you pump fit that reason all should be well. I just didn't want you to be working on your freezer stock pile. I did and now regret it I have a over supply

@steph11, I want to pump because she has a hard time to latch to me. It takes a good while before she latches , then let's go within minutes. I do not want to give her formula eaither. I didn't know that it isn't recommend, this is all new to me.

why do you want to pump? it's not recommend to pump before baby is 6 weeks old so you're supply can regulate and not create a oversupply.

Pump & feed on demand. Everybody & baby is different.
