It's helpful to pump if you end up supplementing because if you don't there's a chance you'll dry up. I'm supplementing (I wanted to be ebf but I can't keep up with my son) and nearly dried up because I wasn't pumping.
No. You can strictly breastfeed until your ready to pump. Pumping allows others to help with feeding or when your out and about its easier to whip out a bottle than a boob sometimes.

You can pump to put into bottles. Like if your go if someplace without the baby, the baby can still get the boob juice

If you exclusively bf then you don't necessarily need one.

It is easier to dry up without a pump I do agree but it depends on how long you wanna breast feed
