Our insurance only covered a little bit of it since it's not mandatory. I believe we paid $100.

Call the hospital that you'll be delivering at. They can let you know the price. Here in Arizona they only except cash so my fiance had to go to the bank and pull out money.

@azmommy85, I thought about calling the hospital but idk what department to speak with or nothing lol.
missing55user·
@bsummers, you would call and speak with labor and delivery about it. Although I'm almost 100% sure you cannot get it done in the hospital. They prefer to circumcise the baby at a week old, so it has to be done in the pediatricians office. We paid for it with our debit card, although I'm sure you can write a check or pay cash.

@queendavis, Wow! that's crazy. our pediatrician recommends having it done at the hospital because they say it's best to have it done with the 1st 48 hours cuz the longer you wait the more the chance of complications increase. & I'm 100% we can do it at hospital that's where we had my son done and everyone I know had it done at the hospital within the 1st 48 hours it's just their insurance covered it for them and mine don't. 😪

@momofroyalty, I also heard it can be cheaper at pediatrician but that it's recommended to have done within 48 hours which is definitely what we want and we are delivering at Swedish it's Denver but may be considered Englewood too

Oh okay I see! Maybe it's just different here in California then! So did your insurance pay for your son to get it done back then? It may be cheaper with a private doctor, and they can come to the hospital and do it. (I looked it up lol). We have a private doctor and it was $100. My friends who go to clinics and stuff paid like $250-$500!!!
