I think when people hear shower they assume the person wants gifts. You can easily have a gift less shower or a diaper party or gender revel for each baby. And just say this is to celebrate the baby gifts of course are welcome but not required or expected.
I don't see the issue either! Honestly every child should be celebrated! I have too many family and friends for one person to throw me a shower so I'm having 3 before the baby gets here and 1 after. I didn't ask for any of these and we have more than enough for our child so we are investing the money we would have spent for our child's college. Don't see a problem with having a shower for baby #7 and if someone does then they just shouldn't go! Lol
@blessedw7, and honestly most people that I know enjoy giving even if you don't really need it. It makes most people feel good to give...I know it does for me.
