Labor story. Thursday at 330 pm my water finally broke after four days of being in early labor. When I got to the hospital for the third time that week they hooked me up and checked for dilation and effacement and realized I had not progressed at all. While watching my contractions they began to see that the entire time baby was experiencing tachycardia and every time I was contracting her HR plummeted. They hooked me to an IV and oxygen and it didn't make a difference at all. By this point they had to do an emergency C section because my baby was in distress. Audrina was born at 652 Pm at 8lbs 12oz but extremely sick. They let me look at her for about 30 seconds then transferred her to another hospital for the NICU. She had a spinal tap to test for meningitis which came back clear thankfully and then she was diagnosed with pneumonia and an infection. As of today she is still in the NICU but she is no longer on oxygen and they are slowly decreasing her iv. I finally saw and held her for the first time yesterday. I am now breastfeeding her when I go and pumping to bring her milk for when I can't be there. So thankful things are looking up💕🎀👣
