Hi everyone, just wondering how do you get this private scan? where should I ask?
on 28 weeks check consultant said she doesn't think I need any scan till 36 weeks, than they will think about it again, because I have got uterus bicornis (uterus shape is like a heart) and first baby was breech, if they will decide baby breech now too, than I will have a scan just to double check... but it's only 2 nd of October)
I wasn't thinking to have private scan, but reading all your posts/comments I through its not bad idea..
why you (who had private scans) decided to go for it? X
@oweatherby, I have all my appointments at Salford royal also, I was under St Mary's but I had a bad experience in my early days with them, they told me they couldn't find the babies heartbeat and then sent me home till the next afternoon, to be honest I've heard plenty of really good things about St Mary's as well but decided to change at 26 weeks and after that I have been nothing but impressed with Bolton they have been fab all the staff are amazing and they have hypnobirthing trained midwives! Plus St Mary's takes over an hour to get to from my house in rush hour where as Bolton is 30 mins maximum x
)) how interesting it is! I am from Bolton, but I chose to have a baby at St.Mary's in Manchester, but all appointments are in Salford Royal hospital!
are you happy with everything at Bolton Hospital? Why you chose there?
They are very pricey, I was never under consultant or had any problems so far and just had my 12 and 20 weeks NHS scans that's it so for me So I could justify the money. if you have one coming up on the NHS I wouldn't bother with a private one! X
I am from Bolton really, 20 min from Manchester.. my husband believe if everything fine than no necessary to have this scan done.... but I am in the middle... from one side would like to see a baby again and make sure he is alright (even midwife and consultant sure he is),fro. another side I agree with husband, better spend £100 on baby xxx
Where are you in Manchester? They are all pretty pricey here to be honest, I went to take a peek in St Helens for both of mine less than 100 quid but you only get 15 minutes and 2 pictures x
lollypop scan clinic they do all.kind of scans try there iv just noticed your from Manchester to .@oweatherby, xx
i went with baby bond with mothercare was 59 f 15 minutes but that was worth it xx
I really don’t think people get it. I got asked how many ultrasounds I was going to have this pregnancy. And to be honest it’s more than I would like to have. Dating scan was yesterday, NT scan is in three weeks and starting at 16 weeks I’ll have monthly ultrasounds to measure my Cervix. Apparently I’m ungrateful and lucky. 🙄 There is nothing lucky about having to constantly worry about how long you’ll stay pregnant for.
Do you really think the way you are raised
Has no impact on when and how you decide to have sex? I read a comment on another thread that really rubbed me the wrong way. Something about how teens have sex and there's just no stopping it no matter how you raise them.

Can I see all the mommies belly's and how many weeks are you 😁 sorry that's the only pic I have that you can actually see my baby I'm 23 weeks today what do you think I'm having ?

(Thread Closed) 12week scan of my identical twins- got my 20week scan in 5weeks but not finding out what sex they are. But just for fun what do you all think? :)
ok lets try again...mommies who have confirmed gender Will you PLEASE post ur 11-13 week scan and say what baby is?? please?? I still have weeks before they check :(
@babbi, when I had bleeding at 6 weeks I went A&E department in Bolton, they did hold me in waiting room for 4 hours and eventually told me to go home and wait and return only if bleeding will be very bad... it was Sunday night, they called Bton antenatal department asked for scan and booked me only on Wednesday... they just send me home to wait 3 days(((( .my husband took me on Monday morning in Manchester at St. Mary's urgent early pregnancy department when I had scan next minutes and they reassure me that everything is fine... from that day I decided to have a baby at St. Mary's....
but to be honest I don't like my consultant at all at Salford Royal hospital antenatal department.. She doesn't seems bothered at all and her attitude is pathetic(( plus quite far for traveling.....
two friends of mine had babies in Bolton and both happy with everything...
Just confused a bit now and not sure I did right decision choosing St.Mary's...
