I'm looking for some FEEDBACK on birthcontrol. I just had a baby 3 weeks ago and my midwife suggested the IUD. I've heard mixed reviews. I'm thinking maybe the NuvaRing, IUD, or Implanon. What are you on? Looking for experiences and side effects that you dealt with from B.C.?
@ce5ce, it's a genetic disorder. So everyone of my docs won't put me on any
oh haha my bad. I got confused because you answered. I forgot who I was talking to that fast 😉😂
@ce5ce, what do you mean? I was told I can be on BC while in BF, the other girl was the one with clotting issues.
@gracelyns_keeper656, I don't have it yet. I'm just not sure what I wanna do. I heard the implanon is the best out of all of them.
All they did was numb my arm, and waited about 5 minutes then they sliced my skin open (I didn't feel it) and she took it out. If they numbed you properly you shouldn't feel a thing. @hippiebaby89
@gracelyns_keeper656, how was it when they took it out? I asked her about it and she said sometimes they have to dig for it.
All BC causes side effects, the only BC I've had was the rod in my arm for three years. I maybe got 5-7 periods and that's all, I liked it and I'm going back to that one after I give birth if I can.
@ce5ce, I think that's why my midwife suggested the IUD for me because it's a non-hormonal form of B.C. and I had high bp during pregnancy and I'm overweight.
no I mean for you @hippiebaby89 ... what were the signs that showed something was wrong
@ce5ce, all hormonal forms of birth control can cause clotting, that's why they say if your overweight, a smoker, or have any clotting issues or high bp, that you shouldn't take it because it can cause other problems.
she said she didn't hurt she had a cramp that all she crazy for doing that she could of done damage too her self
@love499, christ that doesn't sound very good. I hope she didn't hurt herself.
your welcome tho I know my sister took her IUD out she pulled it out that gotta hurt
@love499, I know you were and thank you. but the Internet is not a credible source to look up medical symptoms. That's why I'm looking for personal experiences, considering my midwife thinks the risks of an IUD are minimal. The only thing she mentioned was infection. I'm leaning more towards the NuvaRing, but I want feedback on it.
What does your contact lenses have anything to do with the birth control your taking?
@love499, everything comes with side effects, that's why I'm looking for person experiences, not WebMD.
@twinmammatobe, why can't you take birth control if you don't mind me asking
@twinmammatobe, she knows I'm breastfeeding, she's the one who thinks I should be on it...since your more fertile after your first pregnancy.
@ce5ce, I was just putting my input in lolol.
