Thoughts on IUDs? I'm looking at the hormone free copper one. It seems like every birth control on the market has an issue or lawsuit. so frustrating
I had the mirena for 5 years. Had it removed when I got married last year. No medical issues..no pain...no babies and I will get it again after this baby.
I wanted a hysterectomy but my doctor won't do them until your 30 so I need birth control for the next three years 😡😡😤😩😰@mommyslittleman
I knew a girl who had the copper IUD and her body rejected it, it caused major problems and she had to have a hysterectomy. I think any IUD is just too risky. I used the Nuva Ring for years and loved it. 1) kept me from getting pregnant. 2) it's comfortable and effortless 3) insurance covers it
my cousin had an iud put in after her son was born about 5 months ago and it recently just came out. She got really sick and couldn't figure out what was wrong then her iud came out. It moved from where it was supposed to be and caused an infection and then it came out.
IUD is the worst! I got it and it hurt so bad putting it in. then I had horrible weight gain, the cramps were so bad I felt them in my thighs. I took it out after 6months. I wouldn't recommend it and it can implant in you and have to have surgery to remove it
I had the Mirena twice. The first time it was fine and didn't give me any issues. The second time..... It moved out of place and I would get these horrible cramps to the point where I would bust out in a cold sweat and felt like I was going to pass out. That's when I knew it had to come out. I had to have minor surgery to get it out (a D&C). Ever since then I haven't been on any birth control. I had the plastic hormone kind.
I've heard the copper ones are no good. I've actually not heard many good stories about IUDs. That's all my insurance would cover though. It's been alright so far. I've had some side effects. I hate the almost constant discharge though. Also the fact that I'm not able to wear tampons. Well, it's not recommended.
I had a IUD for 2 years I bleed for about 4 months and then later got 2 ovary cysts so painful I had them remove it then I was on the nuvaring for a yr I loved it until I started to lose my sex drive then I started the pullout method. that worked for us until I wanted to get pregnant.
