yeah. I didn't know they would do staples but they did. staples then steri strips! I was so scared when they took the staples out that it would hurt. I think I will call my ob bc its seems like the swelling is getting worse.

Hmm I didn't know they did staples anymore I get stitches and glue... Right you can shower just not soak if it's completely closed and it's been a few days I would call the doctor in the morning it might be nothing but you never know

no. I had staples for five days then they put steri strips on. They said I could shower just not soak em in like a tub. but all the strips have fell off and the incision is completely sealed shut. its just started swelling a few days ago.

Did they give you a squirt bottle to spray it with water? You can also use a water bottle if you for have one. Then make sure you pat it dry, sounds gross but you need to lift it up a little bit and get it good and dry, you could also use a blow dryer on low, you can place a pad over the stitches after you do all of that if you want to make sure nothing touches it.. If it starts oozing or bleeding go to the doctor.

@simpsonv54, I didn't experience that. Have you been keeping it covered when showering? And not letting it rub your pants?
