Ladies,
Did you know that August is Breastfeeding Awareness Month and this week is World Breastfeeding Week? We should definitely support breastfeeding because for many mothers it is completely new to them and hard work. Just as moms like to post photos of their bumps and their babies, many women love posting breastfeeding photos. All these photos are completely acceptable for this community of moms and moms-to-be.
However, if a mom doesn't choose to breastfeed or says she doesn't like it, this is always acceptable, too. Breastfeeding may not be for everyone and that's fine. We are allowed to state opinions as long as they are respectfully expressed. We are a diverse community and in order for us to get along, we need to let others state their beliefs without judging them.
But personal attacks are not allowed. Rather than dismissing and bashing the mom who posted her statement about breastfeeding, calmly tell her your opinion. Give her your reasons why you disagree. If you believe her post or comment is offensive, contact us and block her account from your feed. Do not then create more drama by attacking the mom for making her post.
Motherhood is hard enough without having to deal with negativity. We must support and help each other. And part of that is allowing others to have differing opinions. If we find any posts that are disrespectful, we will delete them.
Best,
Preggie_USA
@californiahaley, you are not the only one I did too lol
it is hard for sure. my breasts grew two times their size just being pregnant after breastfeeding over a year ago. my nipples are very sensitive and hurt but I know it's better then formula. I formula fed my first breastfeed my second. huge difference! !
@mariceladez, I did the exact same thing and still do. My son is 7 weeks and it's still so hard.
There needs to be a "Here's to the moms that physically couldn't breastfeed day and had to cry through their kids 9th formula switch" I think it traumatized myself more than Alaura lol
Omg I hope I didn't spark this because I put up a disclaimer I try to do so every time I mention breastfeeding because I know these women on this app can be very sensitive 😁😁😁 Just trying to support those who can and choose to we should not be ashamed we all have a choice in life when it comes to our bodies and our babies 💜💜💜
yay breastfeeding week :) I've been going 8 months strong and my daughter has 6 teeth already!
I respect those who breastfeed, I just wish I wasn't talked down to as much because I chose not to. (Not on here - in my every day life.). Formula is made out to be poison these days, and I'm sick of it. As long as baby and mommy are happy, and healthy, then it shouldn't matter! You are absolutely right, @preggie_usa, we need to respect ALL mothers, and each other - not just one or the other.
I support breast feeding 100%. I am jealous that I cannot do it anymore.
I love breastfeeding my son but he's only 3 weeks old and sometimes its hard! When you breastfeed its almost like you're the only one caring for your baby because you can't just hand the baby to the father or another family member to feed him, so you can have a break, newborns eat frequently so you're basically breastfeeding all day. When he has trouble latching and cries inconsolably I've broke down crying a few times feeling horrible, hopeless and like a bad mom.. So I do understand why breastfeeding may not be for some moms. No matter what a mother chooses for her and her child shouldn't be anyone else's business, to each their own 😊
This is exactly why I love this app compared to other pregnancy apps! 😊
I completely agree. Breastfeeding definitely isn't for me, I honestly don't have the patience for it or wanna deal with all the hassle but the moms that do, major props to you, it really is the best for your baby!! And I think "boob pics" is just a beautiful bonding moment captured, keep them coming! 😄🙌🙌
I don't mind it. I love seeing mothers breast feed their babies. Breast milk is the best for the baby and I support all the mommies that breast feed their babies and post pics. Much love to all you extra mile mommies 💜💜
@tracynangel, yes i agree ! Its hard work & time consuming
Breastfeeding is soooo hard! I don't mind boob pics at all! But I am super envious of them because it looks so easy!
@preggie_usa, i just want to thank you all and commend y'all for choosing to work and deal with hormonal women in such a professional manner that you do. you take time and address issues, mourn losses, suggest (and back up) ideas. it really makes me love this app even more.

A Statement from Mom.Life:
Hey everyone!
Last night, a new user began messaging our moms asking for private pictures of toddlers and young children. This is obviously unacceptable behavior, and the account was banned immediately. Although thankfully extremely rare on Mom.Life, several users were understandably upset by this, so we wanted to clarify a few things:
First off, Mom.Life has an absolute zero tolerance policy for child abuse and those who would prey on children. We strive to ...

I find it pretty hilarious how people who have shown their true colors on social media snake away, delete the posts that outed them and come back on social media like nothing happened. Why do that, you outed yourself, so stay out. We still see you boo boo...
