Mommies, how much does/did your 2 week old eat? Brynleigh will be 2 weeks Tuesday and drinks 3 OZ…

My baby just turned 3 weeks yesterday and she eats 4 oz 🙊I guess they hit a growth spurt

@melissaivania, I feed her breastfeeding milk but it's been hard keeping up with her!

Sooo breast milk isn't as filling as formula also and growth spurt. My son is a month and eats 4oz as well. Breast milk @melissaivania

Yeah but should she start going up this fast? @edomke she was a 2oz Thursday went up 2.5 the next day and is now 3oz and sometimes more then that

Ya feed her what she needs. Honestly the beginning of breast milk is quite watery and it takes about 15 minutes into the feeding to get to the fatty part of your breast milk so it might also depend on that when giving her a bottle if you have mostly the beginning of your milk. Also they go through growth spurt at 3 weeks. My lactation lady told me that.

Oh she's only two weeks. Honestly I say if she is hungry have her keep eating but calling lactation wouldn't be a bad idea just to make sure 😀

Yeah she's my little piggy lol.. Also I have to bottle feed her because she has a problem latching but I do pump so she still gets breast milk.. but I'll have to do that just to make sure thank you @edomke 😊

I would just reccomend being careful about overfeeding if you plan to continue breastfeeding. The way and amount we feed babies with bottles can sometimes mess up your breastfeeding. Sadley It's exclusively bottle feeding 😳 @ligermama I want to actually breast feed so bad but she can't latch. The lactation lady said she's lip tied and can't quite keep it how it needs to woke she feeds plus my nipples agent big enough so that doesn't help. I've tried a nipple shield but she knocks it off and the milk comes out too fast. So she just eats out of a bottle it's easier for both of us

I think it's recommended 1oz per hour.
