Its because her stomach is a little bigger than a ping pong ball and babies digest breastmilk faster than formula. its perfectly normal.

I am going through the same thing. He remains hungry even when I pump every two hours and bottle feed that to him he hasn't latched to my breast. Going to see consultant tomorrow in the meantime ran out of donor breast milk so formula it is. I can't starve him I'd feel horrible! So know how you feel it's so exhausting

I had the same problem with my baby. But we got the similac supplement forumla and we do both right now and she's perfectly fine

Only way you can get some sleep is call the dad up to come over there and take care of the baby while you go to sleep

@lp1988727 your right its not at all and I definitely don't want nothing like that happening ive already brought similac supplement formula because im just at that point that im doing whats best for her needs

that sounds like my problem she'll breastfeed for a little fall asleep won't stay up until she s full instead she ll just wake up for more every hour and she uses my nipples as a soother to go to sleep . @ab

you're doing a great job. her stomach isn't very big so she has to eat frequently. what I did to ensure my breastfeeding journey started off on the right foot is stayed topless with baby. she's going to feed a lot. do not give her formula or you won't have enough milk for her yourself. let her establish your supply and work out that latch. remember big open mouth with her body close to you so her chin can be close also with her nose free to breathe. when she latches if her lips aren't right, I would always try to pull them out if that makes sense. message me if you want

They always tell you baby will eat for x amount of minutes ever x hours but I feel like that sets you up for failure as a breastfeeding mom. In reality they should say feed baby on demand when they seem hungry, even if it seems like constantly especially in the first couple weeks :(

Sounds like cluster feeding :( I literally thought I would never leave the couch :'( totally normal.

@tracynangel, going through some what same thing I know how it feels my first son wouldn't even take a bottle he was up every hour only eating an oz here and there !
