I know I sound like a total wimp... but how painful really is labor?? I plan on getting an epidural but I'm terrified of the pain!
@karnawest, @ce5ce @boymama @mssjudyk thanks for all the input, chicas!
It's ok once you're in labour you don't really think about it... all u feel is pain and all you focus on is breathing through the contractions, they don't last very long either. . once you get the epidural it's all good from there. .. u even laugh some lol
nononono don't be freaked!! it's different for everybody
Not gonna lie it isn't pleasant but it's more of a mind over matter thing. As soon as you let the pain get the best of you then it's won... Lol it beat I caved after they gave me pitocin and screamed for an epidural
@boymama, @ce5ce @blessedmommy ok, I'm seriously freaked now!!
haha, I was one of the ones that just KNEW I wasn't getting an epidural. boy was I wrong. those contractions came and showed me what pain was. I might've could've did it if they didn't have to monitor the baby meaning I had to pretty much stay in bed which drove me crazy!!!! I lasted 4 hrs with that pain then caved with the epidural. I had two contractions during it and you literally have to pretend you're dead to stay motionless during the epidural which was easy because that made the contractions hurt less and it helped me focus on something else (being "dead") I asked for the lowest dose of epidural so that I wouldn't be too numb to push and I did great. you'll do fine if you go for the epidural. its not as bad as most people say it is and that says a lot coming from me😐
It's hard and painful(not gonna lie), but just keep in your mind it doesn't last, and at the end you get an amazing gift!
I should mention I have a pretty high pain tolerance, too. I've had multiple eye surgeries and was mugged (several broken facial bones), but labor pain scares the crap out of me!
It's really not that bad! And the pain seriously all goes away after you see that sweet little baby.
Mom's that went natural no meds , was it painful? Or painful PAINFUL ? I got an epidural last time but I wanna go no meds...
So I keep feeling these lil sharp pains on my right side. You do get pains like that before you start your period right.? Remember I had that dark brown spotting for a few hours last month on the 22. My period suppose to start today.
I do love the way people say you will know when your in labour and having contractions well I will be honest I didn't know and my pains weren't that severe till I was fully dilated I'm sure everyone has different pain levels
I go to bathroom every second and I have round ligament pain all the time
Anything I can put on a burn to relieve the pain?
I gave birth naturally the contractions hurt
