Alright ladies where's all my Mexican mommies at I'm craving chiliqulies I almost bet my life I spelled that wrong hahah but I need to know how to make them please help me out :)
what I do is 1) 3-4 tomatoes, half onion, 1 garlic, salt some caldo de tomate cube ,chile and blend taste before putting it in with the tortillas Mk sure flavor is good. 2) get the tortillas and cut them in triangles and fry them once fried put the juice in and let it simmer till the juice is gone and bam! ready to eat!!!
I'm not Hispanic but my friend's mom taught me how. You cut up corn tortillas into small squares and slice an onion and fry them up in oil until crispy. It can take awhile. Then you boil a tomato with a few cloves of garlic and a few dried chiles ( you can use what you like most, but I use the long skinny red ones and I dump out most of the seeds so I don't burn my tongue off haha!) then once the chiles look soft and the skin is bubbly-looking on the tomato you take them out (garlic too) and let it cool. Peel the skin off of the tomato and pull the stems from the chiles and then put the garlic, tomato, and chile in a blender until smooth. Then add the mixture to the fried onion and tortilla. It will absorb into the tortillas so sometimes you have to fry a bit longer. You can also add egg or meat (that has been cooked) to it. I just top mine with crema and dig in. I hope this helps but there are many ways to make them :) this is just how I learned.
