@countrymommy0916 well I'll look into it but he's either gonna have both or just mine . I live in Texas so if I'm correct he doesn't need the last name , the dad just had to sign the birth certificate

Depending on your state if you decide to go for child support if the child doesn't have the fathers last name you have to pay for a maternity test. And some states still won't let you get child support if last name isn't same as fathers . Ridiculous I know 😕

Same here... we agreed on a name but that won't be her first name and she's definitely getting my last name
you can even hyphen it and have yours first then his so it doesn't cause too much trouble lol

Last Name Any single mothers give or plan to give their baby their own last name? The father seems to be up and down about whether he is going to be involved further than just a paycheck so I kind of think it would be more appropriate to give baby my own last name. Thoughts?
