I thought my dad was going to flip his wig when he found out I was pregnant but he has been very genuine and supportive. makes me feel 100 x better because now I don't have to hide it or cry about what he may think

@ashleysable, her and I aren't even remotely close and she already knew cause my step father told her... She acts like an ass to my brother and still haven't seen my 6 month old nephew let alone call to ask how he's doing so her response came as a surprise to me...

Maybe GOD is working on her and maybe she's trying to change.... Don't look to deep into it and just thank GOD :)

@jenkobe8348, it's hard for me to let my guard down with my mom because she has hurt me so many times! Like I cannot even count. She's the only person I thought would always be there and I tried letting go of her bad treatment when I was a kid, I became an adult and was eager to work on making things better but time and time again she has done the same thing. Idk man, I'm def gonna pray about it tonight.

@ashleysable, dang that's so sad!!! I honestly do hope they both have truly changed for the sake of their grandkids though (my mom and your dad).. I do feel that today was a good day for my mom though... I think she has untreated mental issues. I'm not the only one.

yes I believe my dad does too. he might have a touch of bipolar himself. I live with my bf and he told me he wants me to come back home for awhile because my first trimester was so rough. all we can do is pray and hope for the best ☺

@ashleysable, yea same with my mom! Prayers work girl, it has work with just about everything else in my life so I'm just going to hand this one over to God. I have 0 trust in her... There are so many unsettled issues there I just want God to work on me, because I don't want to hate her anymore but I also need her to apologize and do better...

@trezelle, I don't think you should let your guard down but the bible forgive not forget.... In order to have a good future with your mom you will need to forgive her and ask GOD to soften your mom heart and hopefully she's serious this time.... But like I said I would t let my guard down I would just pay attention to her future actions :)

@jenkobe8348, that's my biggest downfall. I pray about it all the time. My heart is stone cold. My heart has been broken so many times that I don't even do second chances anymore... But she's my mother.. Which makes this even more difficult. I'm monitoring her but my guards are staying up. I pray for her and I pray for me.
