@forever_hungry, @ce5ce I recently purchased a box of lucky charms and saw in the ingredients it has TSP in it which is also a chemical used in paint thinner. Would I continue eating them yes but while I'm pregnant absolutely not! I also consulted with my doctor she said its like drinking coffee when you have your body to yourself its fine but while your sharing it certain things can be harmful

@ainsleighsmommy, she said I was wrong but as an expecting mother you owe it to your baby to take a closer look at what your putting into your body.

@mariaelie, but at the same time , if she want to eat lucky charms ain't nothing wrong with that . It's not like she ate 8 boxes. Of it . But I do believe that you should watch what you eat but at the same time it was just cereal .

@ainsleighsmommy, I don't know her and whatever she decides to do is her prerogative , all I did was inform her that it might not be safe to eat them while she's carrying a child what you choose to out in your body is on you but when your pregnant its different!

@mariaelie, true but you have to remember that some women on here don't think it's your place to tell them things . It would've been different if it was raw food . But it's cereal and you kind of made a big hoopla about it . I'm just saying . I just thing if it isn't your body you shouldn't be worried .

I made this mistake awhile back as well. Personally if it was me I would want to know if I was putting something potentially harmful in my body! Some moms just don't care as much and get defensive. So now I've learned to keep my mouth shut

@sunshine1, RIGHT!! I want the best for my child and if I found out I was doing something wrong or even slightly harmful I would want to know no matter where the source of information came from!!

@ainsleighsmommy, clearly your oblivious to the fact that some toxins can be just as harmful as raw food especially when your eating them pregnat and anything someone is digesting that shares the same chemical as paint thinner is kind of a big deal, CLEARLY you don't understand what I'm saying because its not about me being out of place its about the well being of your child no matter how big or small it may be but that only applies to the moms that feel that way

some people just don't care enough to research the kinds of chemicals they are putting into their bodies. If they want to risk harming their babies, so be it. At least we can feel better knowing we are trying to do the absolute best thing for our child!

I ate sushi at like 1.5 months. didn't know. stopped right away. but there is real lemons in dish soap. I wouldn't eat the soap but I will drink lemon flavored water. don't know what tsp is.. but even if it's in paint thinner, it may not be harmful. it is for kids. why is it OK to eat lucky charms at age 2? I'm sure her baby will be fine. when pregnant there are all these foods bad for us we can't eat, all the foods that make us sick.. it's hard to find food . but ya I HATE it when girls get defensive about stuff like that when u are just trying to help. just got to let it roll off your back and either walk on eggshells with ppl like that or completely cut off.. I have someone in my life where EVERYONE has to walk on eggshells

But see this is what we are not going to do . Your not going to assume that I don't care about what goes into my body . @mariaelie I thought that is what this app was for, to share concerns and experiences with one another, but seems like some want to just argue about everything!! Go to topix for that crap!!! @mariaelie, well if I came off as being rude I certainly want to apologize because that wasn't my intention . Like I stated before some moms (the one who was eating lucky charms) don't pay attention nor do they want help.

Well on the plus side this probably helped other moms out there :) for ex: me! I never knew this not that i really eat them but i will stay away. I would've never guessed.
