Today feels like an off day for me. I'm trying to find a midwife that I can trust and will fully support what I want for my birth, and I was so happy to have another appointment with a different midwife but she calls me asks a couple questions and then shuts me down before even meeting me, getting off the phone with her made me so upset I couldn't stop crying. The things she said are making me think the birth I want to have and the birth my baby is crying out for is becoming seemingly impossible to do in Illinois. I really need to speak with my husband about this however he forgot his phone here! The only thing I can do is to keep looking and reaching out. Trying to stay positive.
It's not that they don't agree, I'm going for a completely natural drug-free birth along with a lotus birth (leaving the umbilical cord and placenta connected to the baby allowing it to detach on its own) I also don't want an ultrasound unless there's good reason that there may be something wrong and I can be recommended to a specialist, but just to see how far along I am and other basic information can be known by feeling the belly. The problem is she was telling me I'm too far along and there's too much unknown, she was very focused on what could be wrong and the negative and she adds "besides I'm booked for October anyway" when I said I'm likely due in November. I'm trying to learn more about homebirths and avoid a hospital setting because in a hospital they are not going to respect or allow a lotus birth, and that is something I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to me.
what is it you're trying to do that they won't agree to😕
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?

A Statement from Mom.Life:
Hey everyone!
Last night, a new user began messaging our moms asking for private pictures of toddlers and young children. This is obviously unacceptable behavior, and the account was banned immediately. Although thankfully extremely rare on Mom.Life, several users were understandably upset by this, so we wanted to clarify a few things:
First off, Mom.Life has an absolute zero tolerance policy for child abuse and those who would prey on children. We strive to ...
the amount of women who are clueless about their own anatomy is so sad and shocking. a lot of the women are older than me and have more children then I do 😳
now I understand that everyone has their own opinion on the topic and grown adults can do whatever they want with their bodies but to deny facts and make up false statements about your own anatomy when it comes to your unborn child is just so disappointing.
