Hey everyone! I see a lot of you that post about how you are nervous because you haven't felt the baby move for a while or things like that. When I found out I was pregnant I decided to invest in a fetal Doppler. It has seriously helped with all my nerves! I paid $60 and I had it almost the next day!

@mommywilde, - I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my Doppler. I told my Dr I am using it and he had nothing against it, only to not use it excessively since they are ultrasound waves. I use it once in the AM and once in the PM for less than 30 seconds.
One thing to consider, there are several sounds you will hear... I see posts all the time with mommies saying their baby's heartbeat is really low around 130... Many times that sound can be the placenta or mommy's blood flow. Here is a great website that offers audio examples of the different sounds so you will learn to recognize the placenta, mommy's blood flow vs the baby:

It has been amazing to have. My dog stepped on my tummy and I freaked but I feel so much better that I can check the heartbeat.
Just be careful. My midwife made me promise to get rid of mine once I could feel regular movement. She said she's seen dopplers cause mom's to lose their baby because they feel a decrease in movement and instead of going in for monitoring, they use the doppler and think everything is fine. If you feel a reduction in fetal movement, you need to be seen. Even if you can still pick up a heartbeat.
awesome I love it I want one
