‼️Moms whose babies are eating solids‼️
When did you start your baby on solids? Not cereal in the bottle but actual baby food. Was it successful the first time or did you have to stop and try again due to gas/constipation/etc? What changes in your baby did you note that made you decide to start besides age?
TIA!!
i started my daughter around 4 to 5 months i gave her vegetables first then fruit
My son did the tongue thrust until I started him on baby food mand he stopped a week or so after I've heard that too but he showed signs his was ready milk was cutting it he was eating 4-6 oz 1&1/2 hrs so I started him on food I say it's when u feel she is ready my son is right on track with his weight and isn't obese.
I started at 5mo. She was staring, grunting, and wasn't tongue thrusting any more. She had some constipation at first, but not too bad. She has always been, and still is a great eater though. Not a picky eater at all!
@wyatts_mommy_0106, right, I've heard that before. I was just curious what other moms did because she just turned 3 months on Tuesday and the general rule of thumb is wait till they're 6mos to start solids. But she loves to eat and she's always all up in my food with her eyes when I eat and I heard that among other things is a sign they might be ready. She's also doubled her birth weight but hasn't stopped the tongue thrust thing. @ellasmama1012 awesome! Thanks for sharing. I want to introduce a little bit to my daughter but I'm scared of her getting gassy and backed up! I've seen it before when we tried formula for the first time and it was horrible! She was miserable. That's my only fear in trying it. But we shall see. I'll listen to my gut like you did. Thanks so much ladies!
I didnt start Ella on baby food until she was like 5 months, I gave her sweet potato for the first time and she liked it but I backed off because she got real gassy/fussy after that. I stopped feeding her baby food until she was prob 6 months...And than gave it to her again because formula was not enough she needed something to stick to her ribs lol. I knew she was ready for baby food because she was always looking at me and her dad eat our food and she would make chewing motions plus I just had a feeling that it was time :))
lol that's how my son was so I started with a veggie if u want to start her on baby food I suggest a veggie and only do one a week and make sure she doesn't have. a allergic reaction to it
@wyatts_mommy_0106, that's awesome. My daughter always stares like a little puppy when I eat in front of her and follows the food with her eyes. She even started fussing today when I was feeding my fiancé a doughnut lol
I started my son at 3&1/2 months. he never got constipatied no gas or anything like that I started him at that age cause he started staring me down when I ate and he was smacking his lips when I ate so I got a baby spoon and he showed interest in it and tried to eat it so that's why I started him at that age
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
