Ugh rant time!!
So My Boyfriend Has A Daughter that is 6 About to turn 7. & She Lives With her Aunty. his Sister. well, she Has A son. his Birthday Is On The 28th of this month. her birthday is the 7th of august. she is throwing them a birthday party together since they are so close in date & She goes all out. popcorn machine, snow cone machine & an bounce house. so she doesn't want them to fight & say ones birthday party was better then the others.
well, I & my side of the family would like to throw an original birthday party for her. at a park , so not too big. some decorations & little presents. but, his sister doesn't want me to because she doesn't want her to say she got 2 birthdays!!!! 😠😠😠
I am so mad because, all I want to do is show this little one that I care for her & want to make an impact in her life since she hasn't had the best life. & her father was a wreck before he ment me & we settled down together. I just want her to feel loved because I can tell every time we go around she feels like we are fighting for her dad. I can see it in her eyes because I was the same way as a child with my father & I seen him all the time!! she barely gets to see us. & my family & I just want to make her feel important like she is! & needs!!!! 😡😡😡😢😢😢

@marissa2015, yeah I think that if the family already doesn't like you , you definitely shouldn't do it. I can see were his sister is coming from she probably doesn't want the kids to get jealous of each other and since she's the one raising her at this moment I think you should try to respect her wishes .but maybe you guys can take his daughter somewhere special like a nice dinner or something maybe just don't refer to it as a party
She is the type of little girl that would go brag about having her dad throw her her own party😕 but, any kid would when they barley get to see their dad! & I want to so bad but, i just don't think it would be a good idea because, his family don't really care for me & I don't want to make it worse
She doesn't need to know unless the little girl says something so I would throw it for her anyway it would mean the world to her plus what you do with her on your time is for you not anyone else
I was going to suggest a dinner as well. That way it isn't labeled a party and no one should have ill feelings
