I've seen what whooping cough can do to an infant, it's awful. My niece was hospitalized with it when she was a few months old. I will definitely be getting the shot, the benefits outweigh any risks!
@ak16, If your parents vaccinated you as a child you most likely have had the shot already when you were younger but it's smart to get it while pregnant.
You have to consent to it, I didn't get it with my first but whooping cough is becoming more prevalent, I think that's why we hear of it more now @ak16
Maybe so because I don't remember ever hearing about it with my 1st and my second it's blurry on if I was asked or not. I probably just said no and that's why I don't remember @boymama

Hmm well I was vaccinated as a child and teen, maybe why it wasn't offered or I might have denied it. I'm not sure.
