I can't believe it took me so long to check out a consignment shop. My friend dragged me along, and I got enough cloth diaper covers, snappies, prefolds, flats, and hemp/bamboo liners for the first 3 or 4 months, all for $160! I thought about getting everything new, but when you think about it, this is all stuff he's going to crap in. Didn't make sense! Oh, and I got a pretty nice changing table for $30! I'll need to buy some larger diaper covers and boosters once baby boy gets bigger, but I'll be able to use a lot of the stuff I already have until he is potty trained. All I have to do is sanitize all this stuff, and we will be all set! :) Never thought I'd be excited about diapering, of all things!
