For anyone that's been induced can you share your experience please! :) it would be greatly appreciated! π
@mamalamadingdong, well my doctor just told me I'm not being induced tonight. He pushed it to next Monday/Tuesday. When I'm 40 weeks
That's what makes me mad about mainstream doctors these days. They like scheduling inductions only to suit their schedules, they don't like getting randomly called in at the middle of the night if they don't think they have to... there's been some hot debates about it. It really pisses me off! I totally understand if there are serious medical issues, but a lot of the times, it's a convenience issue.
I was induced on my due date. Apparently the doctor wanted to induce me early, I don't remember, but I wrote about it and it popped up on Timehop the other day, but I was induced on my due date because it was a special day to me. I started the process at midnight, they gave me 1/4 of a pill vaginally (cervadil?), another quarter pill at 6am, not sure when I started pitocin but I didn't start feeling contractions until noon or so (I think? It's been 4 years), got a pain relief shot, then got the epidural and that helped me dilate SUPER quick which is backwards than most women's experiences with it, I felt better after the epidural and before 4pm I was holding my son. Unfortunately since I didn't prepare my body more for labor I tore pretty bad (they didn't offer an episiotomy) & they had to use the vacuum to get him out, but i delivered my son & he was healthy so that's what matters. Right now baby #2 is breech but if he moves to the right position im going to try waiting for natural labor to begin because I want this baby to cook longer since my first born was small.
I was induced at 40 weeks 2 days cuz of my blood pressure being high but it hurt a lot I was in labor for 27 hrs... I had to have cervadil which didn't work than a balloon put in me to help me dilate to 5 n the highest dose of pitocin I was miserable. . I believed it would of been easier if my son decided to come out on his own
@mamalamadingdong, yeah my doctor is inducing me. No medical reason that I'm aware of. As far as I know everything is great.
Yay! Hopefully bubs will want to come before then!
