Who all did you "suggest" get the TDaP vaccine?

I didn't "make" anyone I suggested it if they wanted to hold my son. Most of my family already had gotten it

I also didn't make anyone do it, our family either has it or voluntarily wants to get it before baby gets here.

@Nguyen I would just say you, any household members and close family that will be around the baby often. My doctor said if people have had it in the last 10 years they are fine but that my hubby and I should make sure we had ours. I just got mine on Friday and hubby is getting his in two weeks. Most of our close friends have babies or are currently pregnant so they all have or will have the current immunization. 😊

i made my boyfriend lol he kept putting it off so one day he went and got a root canal and guess where we went after... 😊 the health department and he got his shot lol he wasnt happy. but thats all i really cared about was him getting it because i knew nobody would really be around the baby but me and him.

Anyone that is going to spend a significant amount of time with baby after birth two 3 months of age who is also around a significant amount of strangers daily.

@californiahaley, so me getting it right now wouldn't protect the baby until she gets her vaccine at 2 months? Would it protect her from it once she gets it, from people who don't have it?

yes. anyone who is going to be around alot have them get it...

My husband going to get it and I'm suggesting my mother and he's parents get it since I know they will be here for a while @ngujen

I got it at 35 weeks it goes to the placenta and protects the baby when it's born

Well as long as you and baby are protected its fine.

You getting it now will protect the baby, however anyone who is going to be around baby should get it as well as a precaution

@ngujen, my doctor just gave it to me a few days ago at my 30 week appointment, Getting the shot DOES give your baby some immunity until after they are born and receive theirs. It was even on a piece of paper she handed me. Also anyone like grandparents etc that will either be holding the baby or watching/spending time with for the first couple months is recommended to get the shot, My doctor said the past couple of years it has gotten pretty bad
