So there's so many pros and cons about epidurals. My experience was horrible. When I delivered I passed out and when I woke up I had my last push and my baby was out. I ripped open too and 4 days later I had postpartum hemorrhaging. My blood pressure went down to 37, I had lost half of my blood in me. I had a total of 7 blood transfusions. And on top of that my back was killing me. It felt like a sharp pain. My breast milk dried out as well and that's something I was waiting to experience and I couldn't. Till this day, 4 months later my back is still in pain which restricts me from doing certain things like fitness coaching like before.
@kamilovee, @renaldoswife I am so sorry you both had to go through that! That is terrible!! Those are both the exact reasons why I am terrified of and do not want an epidural! 😬 I'm glad you guys are okay💕
I bet it was but with the grace of God you're still here. Yea, it's tuff but you seem like a very strong person and that's what counts @renaldoswife
@kamilovee, It was very scary 😞 I'm doing better now I still have horrible back pain though because I've had the epidural 3 times so I'm sure that did a lot of damage but I still get frequent headaches and I get lightheaded really easy too.
@kamilovee, I knw I remember the pain every time I talk about it. I get nervous thinking about having another baby because of everything that can go wrong because like you said I also realized birth and pregnancy is a life and death matter. Anything can happen! I didn't try and sue because you honestly can't once you sign the epidural contract so when she hit my nerve and I jumped the pain was so excruciating that I thought something bad was going to happen like I would become paralyzed or something so all I could do was cry I was so scared. This happened like 4 months ago in March. After all of that happened she said she had to start everything all over again but I refused to let her try again. At 8cm is when my hubby kept suggesting that I try to get it again because my contractions weren't even a minute apart they were back to back and VERY intense so after about an hour of going back & forth with him I finally gave in and requested to try again. The same anesthesiologist came back in and it was a breeze but I wasn't just numb from the waist down my whole body was numb and it was SUPER uncomfortable I felt like my whole body was irritatingly itchy omg it was horrible but I swear after I pushed my daughter out that itchy feeling was instantly gone. My doctor said that my body rejects the epidural medicine so I felt everything both labor's.
Wow no way! That literally gave goosebumps!😔 how long ago was this?! Did you sue? Or made any complaints?? Now that I'm a mom I see and realize that pregnancy s life and death matter. It's no joke. I'm glad you're ok and speaking about it though. It just lets us women know how strong and fearless we are💪🏽💪🏽@renaldoswife
With my second baby I had a really bad reaction to the epidural. When the anesthesiologist put the needle in my back to inject the numbing medicine she said my skin rejected it and squirted back out at her so she tried again. My skin took the medicine but as soon as she put the epidural medicine in my back I jumped because it felt like burning acid running down my back to my toes and all I could do was cry it hurt so bad! Turns out she hit a nerve! And because of all that I started leaking brain fluid out of the incision hole in my back 😨 the hole still isn't completely healed, it causes me to have horrible headaches and lightheadedness all the time!
Aww thank you!😊😊 @bryawna13
