Anybody get their membranes stripped? How far along were you, did you ask, and what was the outcome? 39 week appt…

If you're already dilated and effected and having some contractions and baby is down ect then you're probably a good candidate. They wouldn't do it for my sister in law recently because she wasn't dilated or effaced or anything and she was there being induced and they still wouldn't do it

I had a midwife she asked if I wanted to "give it a try" I said why not you're already there checking just do it.

I got it at 39 weeks I was already dilated to 3 cm and 90% effaced. And having contractions on and off.

oh cool! Well hopefully i can get it done tomorrow and have a baby soon! I have painful contractions everyday and then they just stop! I was dilated to a 1 a few weeks ago so we will see what doc says tomorrow! So uncomfortable and so ready! Thanks for sharing.@odixiedelight,

I was already in labor, as far as contractions go, they gave me an epidural as soon as I was admitted in the hospital and started progressing. I had the baby within 9 hrs

I did at 38 weeks because I had steady contractions for a week solid with no progress. It doesn't feel real good, the Dr said it was the only way to get me admitted into the hospital
